Maintenance Engineer - Shifts Sector: Manufacturing Location: Norfolk Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Shift Pattern: Rotating days and nights Hours: 42 hours per week on average Salary: Up to £50,500 plus overtime at enhanced rates ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Norfolk. This is a hands-on shift-based role within the site Engineering team. You will support production by carrying out first-line maintenance, repairs, servicing, fault finding and planned maintenance across production machinery, utility equipment and supporting systems. The role would suit a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician with experience in manufacturing, production, plant or industrial environments, who is also confident with basic electrical fault finding. The Role You will help keep production equipment running safely and reliably, supporting planned maintenance, reactive repairs, operator asset care checks and improvement activity. What You’ll Be Doing Carrying out reactive, preventive and corrective maintenance Fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems Supporting planned maintenance and operator asset care activity Servicing and repairing production and utility equipment Identifying repeat faults and supporting practical improvement actions Recording maintenance work clearly and escalating issues where needed Sourcing replacement parts in a practical and cost-conscious way Working with production, engineering, toolroom and quality teams Supporting process control and improvement projects Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area Completing clear shift handovers Supporting training, mentoring or induction of colleagues when required What We’re Looking For Essential Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, plant or industrial environments Mechanical maintenance skills backed by a recognised qualification or strong proven experience Good fault-finding ability across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Confidence with basic electrical fault finding Good Health and Safety awareness Able to follow procedures and work safely on shift Comfortable working as part of a maintenance and engineering team Able to prioritise work against production needs Reliable, practical and able to communicate clearly at handover Desirable Electrical qualification or wider electrical maintenance experience HNC, HND or similar engineering qualification Experience with automated production machinery, ancillary equipment or utility systems Exposure to planned maintenance systems Continuous improvement or business improvement awareness Experience supporting or mentoring others Package Salary up to £50,500 per annum Overtime paid at enhanced rates Enhanced Company pension Death in Service cover Structured induction and training How to Apply To apply, please send your CV or contact ISQ Recruitment on 01603 369 500 for more information.
