HEALTHCARE TEAM LEADER/ SHIFT MANAGER
Bevern View, Barcombe, near Lewes, BN8 5FJ
37.5 hours per week over 5 shifts, early shifts (7.30am-2.45pm) and late shifts (2.15pm-9.45pm)
consisting of both early and late shifts
Salary £14.66- £15.54 per hour (£28,665- £30,384 annual salary)
We are looking for caring and passionate Shift Managers to join our dedicated team, who are driven to support our residents to get the very best from life.
The Shift Manager will oversee a team of Support staff on shift to ensure that all resident requirements are met to support our residents throughout the day, giving individualised care and working in a person centred approach.
Criteria:
* Right to work in the UK
* Transport is essential due to the rural location
* Clear communication skills
* Applicants must hold a level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care
* Competent in administering medication
* A minimum of a years experience in a supervisory role within the care sector
* An understanding of person-centred care and support
* Computer literate
* Excellent relationship and communication skills to lead the team
* Ability to lead others and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
The role:
* Oversee the team working on shift so that all resident health issues are well managed and person centered plans are effectively delivered
* Maintain the performance of the support staff with regular supervisions
* Cover night shifts as required and complete all on-call duties
* Dispense medication and ensure that all administrative procedures are followed and documented
* Ensure health issues arising with residents are communicated to the clinical team
* Communicate clearly with residents, colleagues, parents, healthcare professionals and visitors
* Assist with our residents' daily needs while promoting independence and positive based outcomes
* Safeguard our residents
* As part of you role you will be expected to lead by example and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
* Support the Care Manager in the day to day running of the home.
