Job Title: 2:1 Teaching Assistant

Start Date: After the Easter Holidays
Contract: Part-Time – 4 Days per Week
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 2:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming and supportive primary schools in Ferndown. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing school environment.
The role will involve working closely with two pupils who require additional support in the classroom. You will play a key part in helping them access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially.
The Role:
* Providing 2:1 support for pupils within the classroom environment
* Assisting the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities
* Supporting pupils with their academic progress, social development, and emotional wellbeing
* Helping to adapt learning resources to meet individual needs
* Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children in an educational setting
* Be patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting young learners
* Have a good understanding of primary school learning and classroom support
* Be able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Be committed, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
