Job Description: Installation and Support Engineer – Doncaster and surrounding area
Attention, self-motivated Security Engineers We have an exciting Installation and Support Engineer role coming up in our Operations team and we want to hear from YOU. Our tech keeps people and property safe up and down the country, doing things like helping businesses tackle the scourge of shoplifting and making sure food production lines are getting it right. What you'd be doing in this role
* Installing security systems – following System Design Specifications and in line with Industry Standards
* Carrying out scheduled maintenance checks – these are part of our agreed standards, and you'll be keeping tabs on all areas of the security systems we've installed
* Troubleshooting – when customers run into issues with their security hardware or cabling, you'll be fault-finding and coming up with solutions, including replacing parts when necessary
* That all-important paperwork – whether you're installing or maintaining, you'll make sure we've dotted all the Is and crossed all the Ts on the field visit paperwork before you head off
* Training our customers – you'll teach them the basics of how to use their new security system
* Following up – you'll update our customers with the outcome of your visit to their site, letting them know what needs doing next or when we'll next come and see them (and relaying it to our support team to arrange)
* Keeping learning – technology evolves all the time, so you'll spend some of your time keeping your systems knowledge up to date and learning about changes to hardware and installation methods
* Training – you'll undertake in-house and external training on everything from systems certification to Health and Safety and any other duties required to carry out the role of Installation and Support Engineer
For this role, you'll need to…
* Set an example of excellent quality, safety and attention to detail when installing and maintaining security systems
* Have a good range of experience in:
* Installation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CCTV, intruder and access systems, and on data installations
* Using hand and power tools to install CCTV Systems
* Different business sectors, such as retail and manufacturing
* A range of security brands, such as Hikvision, Hanwha, Paxton and Orisec
* Show you've worked in a range of environments with minimal guidance
* Have some flexibility with your working hours and work schedule
* Be able to travel, with some overnight stays for training or work further afield as needed
* Be able to pass security vetting – DBS, credit check and references for up to 7 years of previous employment
* Show you can work safely and in line with Health and Safety legislation
* Adhere to our policies and procedures, and be a great iFacility representative through best practice and making sure you and your vehicle are always smart and professional
At a glance: the qualifications we'll be looking for
* Hold a valid CSCS/ECS card or be prepared to attend training
* Understanding of quality standards
* UK driving licence (this one's essential)
* Good computer skills
* Experience of driving a company van and using the relevant tools and equipment
