Head of Economics & Business Studies (Full Time)
Salary: £62,160 per annum (maximum remuneration dependent on experience and relevant qualifications).
Worth School is a highly successful co‑educational Catholic Benedictine boarding and day school (11‑18) offering a broad curriculum including IB and A levels. We are seeking a Head of Economics & Business Studies to lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum, enabling the highest level of pupil progress and attainment.
Responsibilities
* Lead the professional community of teachers, promote outstanding teaching and learning, and foster a strong, nurturing and rigorous school culture.
* Develop and implement active learning strategies that challenge and inspire students from Year 10 through to Sixth Form (GCSE, A Level and IB).
* Contribute to other school activities in a thriving boarding environment.
Qualifications
* Passion for economics and business studies with proven experience as a skilled classroom practitioner.
* Strong working knowledge of ICT.
* Eligibility to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship offered.
* Commitment to safeguarding: must understand and adhere to Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation; appropriate DBS and other vetting checks will be conducted.
