Overview
Healthcare Assistant - West Kent, employed by Marie Curie UK. This role is based in the West Kent / Maidstone area, delivering comprehensive, person-centred end-of-life care and support in patients’ homes.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and assist with skin integrity and personal hygiene.
* Observe and support nutritional needs; attend to comfort to promote rest and sleep.
* Provide mobility support and maintain a clean, orderly care environment.
* Practice empathetic, professional communication with patients and those important to them; deliver high-quality personal care to enhance wellbeing.
Qualifications
* At least six months of recent experience providing care in a Health or Social Care Environment, including end-of-life care.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred, not required).
* Person-centred and compassionate approach to caring for patients and their loved ones.
* Ability to develop and evaluate care management plans that meet complex needs.
* Emotional resilience and the capacity to work independently.
* Valid driving licence and access to a car for travel to patient homes.
Contract and Hours
* Contract: Permanent, Reduced hours.
* Work Schedule: 9 Hours per Week, Monday to Saturday Coverage.
* Shift hours: 10:00pm – 7:00am (1 shift per week).
Compensation and Location
* Salary: £12.51 Per Hour.
* Location: Community-Based – West Kent / Maidstone Area.
