A client within the Public Sector, based in South West, is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their Property Services & Asset Management – Health and Safety Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or public sector construction environment. The Role The key purpose of the role is to provide professional health and safety advice, guidance and assurance across construction, maintenance and asset management activities, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and promoting a positive safety culture. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Providing competent health and safety advice in line with CDM Regulations 2015 • Supporting in-house projects, responsive repairs and outsourced contractors • Reviewing and advising on risk assessments, method statements and construction phase plans • Undertaking site inspections, audits and monitoring of live construction works • Investigating incidents and accidents, producing reports and recommendations The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require: • NEBOSH National General and/or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) • Membership of IOSH • A full UK driving licence or ability to travel across sites The below skills and experience would be beneficial for the role: • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 • Experience carrying out site inspections within construction or housing environments • Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, managers and frontline staff The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £40 per hour Umbrella LTD (Inside IR35) (approx. £30 per hour PAYE).
