Head of Private Commercial Development — (6 month FTC)
About the role
A leading healthcare organisation is seeking a senior commercial leader to design, develop, and scale private patient services across GP, digital, and hybrid care pathways. You will own the end‑to‑end private patient journey, set and execute commercial strategy, and partner closely with marketing, clinical operations, and product to accelerate revenue growth from private care lines.
What you’ll do
* Define and deliver the commercial roadmap for private GP, virtual, and digital care services.
* Identify new revenue opportunities, propositions, and underserved market niches.
* Lead pricing, packaging, and value proposition development.
* Map and continuously optimise the journey from awareness to booking and after‑care.
* Ensure seamless experiences across online and in‑clinic touchpoints with clinical, product, and digital teams.
Marketing & Demand Generation
* Co‑create campaigns, funnels, and messaging that attract and convert private customers.
* Align brand positioning and organisational values with commercial goals and patient expectations.
* Establish insights, analytics, and segmentation to drive targeted acquisition and retention.
Partnerships & Relationship Development
* Build strategic C2C and B2B relationships (corporates, insurers, digital partners, referrers).
* Represent the private offering at industry events and in corporate negotiations.
* Develop and manage referral networks to drive new patient flows.
* Launch new private services with clinicians, operations, and digital product; optimise existing lines.
* Ensure services are commercially viable, clinically robust, and patient‑centred.
* Drive digital integration across private GP, diagnostics, remote consultations, and wellness.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Lead a cross‑functional agenda spanning marketing, operations, clinical, digital, and finance.
* Influence senior executives through data‑led insights and business cases.
* Embed commercial mindset and performance culture within the private unit.
Experience
* 10+ years in private healthcare, digital health, consumer health, or related commercial roles.
* Proven success scaling private GP and/or digital health services.
* Background in commercial leadership, business development, growth, or service line creation.
* Direct ownership of revenue P&L with measurable outcomes.
