Job Description
Job title: Salaried General Practitioner
Reports to: Clinically to The Partners; Administratively to The Practice Management Team
Hours: Between 4 and 6 sessions (days to be agreed)

Key Responsibilities
* Patient Care: Conduct consultations via face-to-face, telephone, and video, ensuring high-quality medical care and patient satisfaction.
* Clinical Decision-Making: Make independent decisions on patient care, adhering to local and national guidelines.
* Chronic and Acute Care: Manage long-term conditions and treat acute illnesses, ensuring timely interventions.
* Preventative Care: Engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities, including screenings and vaccinations.
* Care Planning: Develop and implement care plans, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
* Patient Management: Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and referrals, maintaining accurate records.
* Administrative Duties: Handle referrals, prescriptions, and patient communications efficiently.
* Extended Hours and On-Call: Participate in extended hours and on-call duties as needed.
* Quality Improvement: Engage in audits and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to clinical governance.
* Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and comply with appraisal and revalidation processes.
Communication
* Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and carers, recognising different communication needs.
Quality Service Delivery
* Adhere to GMC regulations, produce accurate patient records, and deliver care based on NICE guidelines.
* Participate in quality governance, shared learning, and significant event reviews to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
* Qualified GP (completing GP Training within 3 months)
* Inclusion on the NHS Performers List
Desirable
* Minor surgery
* Joint Injections
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
Experience
* Robust Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse array of medical conditions with confidence and competence.
* Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate and interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and the wider healthcare team.
* Team Collaboration: Proven capability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a cohesive and supportive environment.
* Chronic and Acute Care Experience: Experience in managing both chronic conditions and acute medical presentations, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
* Digital Proficiency: Familiarity with clinical systems and digital tools for effective patient management and record-keeping.
