Ready for a new challenge?
Are you looking for work that makes a difference? Do you want to work with people who learn and grow together?
If so, Opencast could be the place for you. We’re a growing tech consultancy that creates user-centred solutions with purpose for our clients in government and business.
The role
We're looking for a Relationship Manager (Partnerships) to join our team for a 12-month maternity cover. You’ll play a key role in managing and strengthening our partner relationships, helping us scale, innovate, and bring new offerings to market.
You’ll work closely with teams across the business to drive growth and expansion through our most strategic partnerships. By shaping and articulating our joint value, you’ll support effective pre-sales activities alongside our New Business and Client Leadership Teams.
A key part of your role will be to enhance our supplier (partner) management processes, ensuring we scale sustainably while improving overall operational efficiency.
You’ll contribute to Opencast’s growth by combining your knowledge of the technology industry, digital strategies, and our capabilities to build strong, long-term professional relationships.
We’re looking for someone with experience in managing and growing strategic partnerships. You don’t need to have had the exact job title before, but you’ll need to show you can build strong, long-term relationships and drive business growth through partnerships.
In your CV and interview, please show you have:
* Used an understanding of organisational priorities, culture, and brand to position a company competitively in partner and industry discussions.
* Developed and implemented partnership strategies, identifying opportunities for growth and creating joint value propositions.
* Built trusted relationships with key stakeholders, championing the partner voice and co-creating go-to-market opportunities.
* Negotiated commercial agreements with financial awareness and a focus on sustainable growth.
* Planned and managed a portfolio of partners, deepening relationships and ensuring structured engagement.
* Used data and technology to track, analyse, and report on partner performance, optimising relationships and sales pipelines.
As well as partnership management skills, there are essential core skills you’ll need to be successful in this role.
In the interview, please show how you:
* Take a strategic approach to relationship management, ensuring long-term business value.
* Communicate effectively, demonstrating awareness of tone, body language and approach, and how these influence understanding and response.
* Solve problems methodically, generating and evaluating a range of solutions that balance partner needs with business objectives.
* Bring creativity to group settings, contributing innovative thoughts and ideas to achieve shared outcomes.
* Set clear goals and secure the right resources to achieve them, demonstrating a growth mindset.
* Identify key stakeholders across the business and build strong, collaborative relationships.
* Work collaboratively across teams, influencing and guiding stakeholders effectively.
* Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and best practices in partnership management.
In the interview, we’ll ask you to describe how you build and maintain partnerships, contribute to business growth, and manage stakeholder relationships. If successful in the first stage, we’ll invite you to discuss a case study and present your approach to a partnership challenge.
You don’t need to have all of this - if you do, great! If not, we can support you to develop these skills on the job:
* Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills, including clear documentation and proactive follow-up on actions.
* Confidence engaging cross-functional teams to solve problems collaboratively.
* A quick learner with the drive to take on new challenges and adapt to changing responsibilities.
* The confidence to speak up when something’s unclear or doesn’t feel right, showing good judgment and integrity.
If you have any of this experience, please show it on your CV and we can talk about it in the interview.
If you don’t have this experience please do still apply, as we can coach you in these areas if you join us.
