What you will do:
* Assist therapists in the delivery of patient care and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a high standard of service
* Support patients by demonstrating and guiding them through practical exercises and mobility routines
* Maintain accurate patient records, utilising basic computer skills including email, letters, and spreadsheets
* Participate actively in a team environment, offering support to colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the department
* Help with the moving and handling of patients, ensuring safety procedures are adhered to at all times
* Take part in the 7-day working rota, with weekend cover required approximately once every four weeks
Responsibilities:
* Evidence of broad-based numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent)
* Previous experience in an acute care or hospital setting, ideally with older people services
* Understanding of the role of occupational therapists and physiotherapists, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
* Basic awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace and a willingness to participate in supervision and appraisal processes
* Full, clean driving licence preferable, aiding in patient visits if necessary
