Quality Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits

Syntech Recruitment are supporting a leading precision engineering and manufacturing organisation in the search for an experienced Quality Engineer. This role would suit a quality professional with a strong manufacturing background who is experienced in customer and supplier quality management, quality systems, auditing and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Act as the primary quality interface between customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams
* Investigate and resolve quality-related issues across production operations
* Train manufacturing personnel on inspection methods, quality standards and measurement techniques
* Manage and maintain calibration systems for measurement and test equipment
* Support the setup and control of inspection equipment used within production
* Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
* Translate customer quality requirements into manufacturing documentation and processes
* Produce inspection reports, trend analysis and quality performance metrics
* Manage non-conformances and customer complaints using structured problem‑solving methodologies including 8D and 5 Why analysis
Requirements
* Minimum five years’ experience within a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality role
* Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent engineering background
* Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems and processes
* Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
* Experience using a range of inspection and measurement techniques
* Proven experience producing inspection reports and quality documentation
* Strong customer and supplier quality management experience
* Experience conducting internal and supplier audits
* Project management and stakeholder coordination skills
* Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
* Ability to train and mentor colleagues on quality-related subjects
