Operating from our 4 locations our core customer base covers almost every local authority in Scotland, corporate clients that are household names and some of the most prestigious and iconic sports and entertainment venues across the UK.
Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Audio-Visual Installer to join our team. This is a chance for the right candidate to further their career in the growing audio-visual market and join our well-respected team. This is a hands-on field-based role that would see the candidate working with our existing installation teams on various sites and projects. Our ideal candidate would have:
* Experience in a similar audio-visual installation or related trade role
* Experience working on commercial premises and construction sites
* Competent user of hand and power tools
* A positive "Can Do" Attitude.
* Be committed and self-motivated, with good organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize works to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
* Ability to work effectively using own initiative and as part of a project team
Reporting to the Service Manager Day to day duties would include:
* Installing cabling and containment systems to a high standard.
* Mounting, connecting and commissioning audio-visual and lighting equipment to a high standard.
* Accurately updating and recording details of work done on our cloud-based job management system
* Basic demonstration of equipment to clients
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Full Driving License (valid in the UK)
* Minimum 2 years practical experience in any Audio-Visual or related role
* Understanding of audio-visual equipment and its use in commercial settings
* Ability to interpret and work from plan drawings and schematics.
* Able to confidently terminate, test and troubleshoot the following connectors :RCA, XLR, 3.5/6.3mm Jack/RJ45/Powercon/Speakon
* A good understanding of audio and video signal flow.
Beneficial Experience
The Following Experience would be beneficial to any candidate when assessing their application:
* Detail of any previous exposure to the Audio-Visual Industry or entertainment industry.
* Evdence/detail of experience installing and commission modern audio-visual, lighting and performance systems.
* Any experience in the setup of audio-visual and lighting control systems
* A good understanding of audio and video signal flow
* A demonstratable understanding of ip netw orks and their use in the AV industry. (Dante, AVOIP, ArtNet etc)
* Experience in the Layout and building of equipment racks
* Any multi trade experience showing transferable skills such as electrical / electronics / data comms.
Locations/Hours
This is a permanent full-time, field-based role. The standard working hours are 0800 to 1630 Monday to Friday. Regular overtime will be available including working on projects across the country.
