Main Accountabilities:
1. Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
2. Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline from receiving the site area from the customer or Project Manager to handover, ensuring the successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
3. Stakeholder relations: Acts as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
4. Health, safety and environment (HSE) and project security: Ensures a detailed and up-to-date construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations among project partners and is empowered to suspend activities in case of violations. Coordinates handling, storage, and installation of equipment, managing logistics to ensure timely delivery.
5. Sub-contractors: Manages subcontractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet standards and delivery deadlines.
6. Site cost management: Monitors project site costs against forecasts, manages petty cash, and has delegated authority for local purchasing within limits.
7. Documentation: Ensures all documentation is updated and maintained, using the latest revisions for construction work.
8. People leadership and development: Ensures the area is properly organized, staffed, and skilled. Guides and motivates team members and coordinates local logistics such as accommodation, site facilities, and office equipment.
Summary: Supervises a team in executing tasks within an assigned area, ensuring proper work assignment and performance reviews.
We seek candidates with several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with strong knowledge in Site Management, HSE, Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic understanding of Commissioning and Civil Works.
