Specialist SEN Teacher to be based in Specialist Resource Provision for children with communication and ASD needs

The Federation of Blue Coat Infant and Junior Schools are looking to appoint two highly skilled and experienced teachers to work within our new Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for Infant and Junior children with communication and ASD needs, from September 2024. The development of our new Specialist Resource Provision is an exciting step in the journey of our highly inclusive Federation. Based on the Junior School site in a purpose built teaching block, you will be responsible for leading the teaching of a small group of primary aged children (3-11) with complex developmental needs. You will be part of a team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants based in the SRP.
You will be an outstanding practitioner who:
• is able to demonstrate highly effective teaching skills and determination to secure the best possible outcomes for every child
• demonstrates excellent and innovative pedagogical approaches for teaching and learning
• can demonstrate the ability to plan an exciting, inspiring curriculum
• can provide high quality learning experiences adapted to meet the needs of children with EHCPs
• recognise parents as vital partners in learning and is committed to building strong relationships.
The successful candidate will also have the following experience and attributes:
• Qualified Teacher Status.
• A proven track record of achieving academic excellence.
• Evidence of implementing innovative approaches to learning, particularly in regard to children with speech, language, communication and ASD needs.
• Experience of meeting the needs of children and young people who may benefit from specialist provision within a mainstream setting.
• The ability to teach across the Primary age range with a secure knowledge of early child development and the Early Years Foundation stage.
• Nurturing, resilience, adaptability, energy and optimism.
