IT Project Manager – SuccessFactors Implementation Location: Crewe Contract: Until 30th December 2025 (Potential extension) Hours: 37 per week IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager with proven waterfall project delivery skills and exposure to HR systems – particularly SuccessFactors – to join a leading automotive organisation. You will play a key role in driving the implementation of a cloud-based HR solution (SAP SuccessFactors), working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and closure of technical projects within the IT function, ensuring alignment with business needs and strategic direction. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role requiring a proactive approach, strong governance skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders across the business. This role suits an IT Project Manager who can confidently navigate complex HR/IT transformations, take ownership of milestones and deliverables, and foster collaboration across internal teams and external suppliers. You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, capable of keeping meetings on track, managing actions via Teams boards, and ensuring accountability across the project. We’re looking for an IT Project Manager with experience managing Employee Central (EC) implementations or broader SuccessFactors modules, who can lead change, make informed decisions, and ensure smooth delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager: Lead the delivery of SuccessFactors-based HR transformation projects using Waterfall methodology. Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle – from business case validation through to benefits realisation and post-implementation review. Create and maintain project documentation including resource plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers. Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, steering groups, and stakeholder updates to ensure project alignment and momentum. Engage with key internal stakeholders across HR, IT, Architecture, Testing, and Service Management teams. Manage third-party software vendors and consultants to ensure deliverables meet quality, time, and cost expectations. Apply structured change management techniques to ensure smooth adoption of new systems within the HR function. Skills & Experience Required for the IT Project Manager role: Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale IT or business transformation projects – specifically involving SAP SuccessFactors or similar HCM platforms. Strong knowledge of Waterfall project methodology and governance frameworks; Agile/SAFe beneficial. Confident managing complex HR/IT integrations in enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with Employee Central (EC) module within SuccessFactors is highly desirable. Excellent stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, and action tracking via Microsoft Teams and project boards. Strong working knowledge of SAP Cloud architecture and IT project lifecycle best practices. Experience managing project budgets up to £500k and coordinating cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Computing, Business Administration, or a related subject (or equivalent experience).
