Regeneration and Enterprise Officer
Grade 4 - £25,989 to £28,142 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our regeneration and enterprise team for the right, entrepreneurial candidate. We have a growing regeneration portfolio and this is a chance to be part of a dynamic and fast‑paced service. This post is ideal for anyone new to regeneration or just entering the field, who wants to really develop their experience and skills in this exciting and fast‑moving area. We have a multifaced, multi‑million pound regeneration scheme within Burton upon Trent which is moving into delivery.
We currently have two Town Regeneration Officers and Enterprise Officer in post and the Regeneration and Enterprise Officer role will support these two postholders to deliver the scheme, which will include providing both practical and intellectual support (ie producing documentation etc). We are also looking to deliver a scheme within Uttoxeter which the Regeneration and Enterprise Officer will help to support.
In addition, the post holder will be ESBCs main link with local businesses across the borough, particularly SMEs. We have a popular business grants scheme, which the successful candidate will be responsible for managing. There will from time to time be a range of local services and support aimed at local businesses, which the post holder will help to promote. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for planning and delivering a number of business engagement events throughout the year across East Staffordshire.
The right candidate will be a successful self‑starter, confident in networking and engaging with a wide range of individuals, from local businesses to ESBC councillors. The successful candidate will also be proficient at keeping records of applications, an overview of the budget, and organising paperwork, required as part of the grant application process. They will also support the Town Regeneration Officers in delivery of the physical regeneration projects.

The appointment is for a permanent, full‑time contract which is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
