An established and recently refurbished veterinary practice in Stapleford is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly and close-knit team. Located in a prominent position on the towns main street, the practice offers a great working environment with excellent access to both the M1 and the scenic Derbyshire countryside.
The practice features modern clinical facilities and is part of a wider veterinary network supported by nearby hospitals. The team works closely together to provide exceptional, compassionate care to a loyal and diverse client base.
This is a full-time permanent role (40 hours across 4 days), including 1 in 6 full weekends at a local 24-hour hospital. Part-time applications and flexible working requests are welcome.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality clinical care in consultations, diagnostics, and surgeries
* Maintain excellent client communication and provide clear patient updates
* Prepare tailored treatment plans and accurate cost estimates
* Collaborate with and support veterinary nurses and the wider team
* Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and continual improvement
* Participate in clinical handovers and out-of-hours case coordination
What You’ll Need
* RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
* Strong clinical and communication skills
* Experience working as part of a veterinary team
* Willingness to support nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures
* A proactive approach to patient care and teamwork
* Interest in ongoing development and CPD
