The newly Integrated Community Vaccination Service is looking for a team player and experienced Administration Assistant to help deliver the school-age vaccination programme alongside Covid vaccination delivery to housebound patients and care homes.
Vaccinations are the safest and most effective way of protecting individuals and communities from vaccine-preventable diseases. Working for the Community Vaccination Service allows you to work as part of a team supporting and promoting the importance of vaccines, with a passion to protect this age group and offering support to the Integrated Vaccination Service across the Trust.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Administration Assistant to support the management of the Community Vaccination Service (CVS). The CVS team is part of the Integrated Vaccination Service and provides immunisations for all school-age children in Dorset as per the UK Health Security Agency schedule. The service also provides Covid vaccines to housebound and care home residents of Dorset. You will support the management of a team of nurses and administrators on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all clinics and sessions are staffed appropriately and safely.
The role will involve:
1. Liaising with parents, schools, service users, and care homes
2. Adding patients onto caseloads
3. Sending lists of new referrals to other departments
4. Making referrals to CHIS
5. Checking duplicate registration forms and taking appropriate action
6. Amending records for CHIS/SN as advised
7. Handling phones, emails, general enquiries, and consent forms
8. Sending and editing communications
9. Performing daily administration tasks as directed by the Administration lead
Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible for this position.
Employment in this role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service can present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
