The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future. Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework), as well as for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the ages of 20-29. Job purpose/about the role
To collaborate with and work under the supervision of Early Learning and Childcare teams to provide high-quality, learner-centred Early Learning and Childcare to children aged 2–5 years.
Roles that require PVG Membership
Effective from 1 April 2023, candidates for roles requiring PVG membership will need to cover the cost of the membership. This applies only to roles with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above (e.g., teaching roles and jobs at Grade 11 and above, currently £30,727 per annum / £15.97 per hour). The Council will initially pay for the PVG membership (£18 for existing members, £59 for non-members), and this cost will be deducted from the employee’s first full month’s salary.
Minimum requirements
* Good written and numerical skills, gained through Standard Grades/National 4 or 5 qualifications, or relevant work experience.
Demonstrable skills
* Effective communication, including non-verbal, verbal, and written forms.
* Good observational and listening skills.
