Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be partnering with our client to appoint an experienced and commercially astute Finance Operations Manager to join their finance team in Belfast. This is an outstanding opportunity for a finance professional who thrives on managing the full financial cycle from billing and credit control through to cashflow forecasting and commercial reporting. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to play a key part in the continued growth and financial stability of a respected professional services firm. The Role Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the Finance Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of billing, credit management, and cashflow for the business. This is a pivotal position within a busy, fast-paced environment blending hands-on accounting work with commercial analysis and proactive process improvement. Youll act as the key link between project delivery teams, directors, and clients, ensuring the firms financial operations run efficiently and transparently. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full billing cycle, ensuring all client invoices are accurate, timely, and aligned with project milestones. Maintain robust credit control procedures to drive strong cash collection and minimise aged debt. Monitor daily cashflow and prepare accurate short- and long-term forecasts. Produce insightful commercial and financial reports to support management decision-making. Collaborate closely with Directors and Associates to manage work-in-progress, fee income, and revenue recognition. Support continuous improvement across financial processes and controls. Liaise confidently with clients to resolve invoicing or payment queries in a professional, solutions-focused manner. Skills & Experience Minimum 4 yearscurrent experience in a finance or credit control role, ideally within construction, engineering, or professional services. Proven expertise in cashflow management, billing, and credit control. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel or similar tools. Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability. Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with senior staff and clients.
