We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 driver with Yard cover to work out of our Melton Branch.
The successful applicant will be delivering general building materials around Leicestershire & Rutland and helping out in a busy builders merchant yard.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following attributes:

· Have an up to date Driver CPC Certificate
Summary
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Reporting to the Transport & Branch Manager, you will utilize your core skills in commercial driving and flatbed operation to navigate routes efficiently. Your experience as a delivery driver will be invaluable in maintaining high standards of service and compliance with safety regulations. The organization expects you to demonstrate professionalism and reliability while representing our commitment to customer satisfaction on the road. You will also be required to cover the yard where needed you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised Yard along with a small team. You'll load and unload materials, whist ensuring safety at all times.
Responsibilities
· Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
· Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
· Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records.
· Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring secure transport.
· Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and communicate effectively with clients.
· Report any vehicle issues or incidents to management promptly.
· To coordinate loading and unloading of materials, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure proper storage and delivery of products.
· Maintain accurate paperwork related to inventory, equipment inspections, and daily operations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5pm. Saturday Mornings 8am – 12 noon on a rota basis
