We are delighted to be working with one of the most successful engineering firms operating within the Scottish Water Framework. Our client, an internationally recognised and forward-thinking organisation, is expanding their MEICA delivery team in Scotland and is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their Glasgow office.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be at the heart of delivering projects that make a real impact. You’ll take responsibility for the installation, commissioning, and handover of all MEICA elements across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out on-site commissioning activities across a range of projects.
* Prepare and deliver commissioning completion reports and project updates.
* Ensure all commissioning is conducted in full compliance with safety standards.
* Develop detailed commissioning plans during both pricing and design phases.
* Produce all required commissioning documentation in a timely manner.
* Work closely with Scottish Water CSD staff to ensure smooth asset integration.
* Oversee off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities.
* Adhere to rigorous change control processes.
* Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge development.
About You
* ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or ICA engineering – or extensive relevant experience.
* Proven site-based commissioning and installation (M&E) experience, ideally within the Scottish water sector.
* MEICA-qualified engineer with strong technical knowledge.
* Working knowledge of Profibus (desirable).
* Familiarity with WIMES standards and telemetry systems.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
