Our client, are a well-established facilities management provider delivering cleaning and support services across education and community sites. Their focus is on maintaining safe, clean, and well-managed environments where students, staff, and visitors can thrive.

Due to ongoing service requirements, they are looking to appoint an experienced Cleaning Manager to oversee operations across a group of school sites in Hull.

This is an important leadership role with responsibility for standards, people management, and day-to-day service delivery.

The Role

As Cleaning Manager, you will lead cleaning teams across multiple school locations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service at all times.

You will work closely with site managers and other service teams, balancing hands-on operational oversight with team leadership and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Managing cleaning teams across several school sites
Planning rotas and arranging cover for holidays and absences
Monitoring cleaning standards through regular checks and audits
Ensuring staff are trained and following safe working practices
Managing stock levels of cleaning materials and equipment
Keeping within agreed budgets for supplies and labour
Completing staff timesheets and basic records
Leading team briefings and sharing health & safety updates
Reporting maintenance or equipment faults
Working with site teams to resolve day-to-day operational issues
Responding to service requests and helping ensure smooth site operationsAbout You

We are looking for a confident and organised manager who can lead teams effectively while maintaining a strong focus on quality and safety.

We're looking for someone who has:

Previous experience in a Cleaning Manager or similar supervisory role
Experience working in schools or education settings (desirable)
Strong leadership and team management skills
A good understanding of workplace health & safety
The ability to organise workloads and solve problems independently
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, email systems)
A practical, hands-on approach to management
