Position:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MARAC Team Leader based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

MARAC is a multi-agency risk assessment conference where partners from a number of agencies including police, health, social work services and independent domestic abuse services, come together to discuss and agree actions to support cases of high risk domestic abuse. A permanent position has arisen for a MARAC Team Leader, on 21.5 hours. This is a new and unique position which includes supporting the MARAC coordinators and partner agencies to fulfil their roles and responsibilities in delivering a safe and effective MARAC. You will work closely with the MARAC chairpersons, Public Protection Leads, MARAC Locality Leads and the MARAC Governance Group to achieve the aims of MARAC: improve safety of high risk domestic abuse victims, reduce repeat victimisation and improve agency accountability.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

The post holder will be in a senior leadership role, providing operational management to the cooridination team on a day to day basis while overseeing service improvements responsive to local and national needs and requirements. The postholder will influence strategic direction of MARAC processes in Ayrshire including the development of multi-agency guidance and policy. You will be educated to masters level e.g. health, social care, education, social policy or evidence of working at an equivalent level within a relevant specialist area e.g. Public protection, domestic abuse.
