Responsibilities
* Assist the multidisciplinary team under supervision to provide high standard patient care within the theatres, day surgery and other departments.
* Pack and unpack instrument trolleys and deliver sterile items to theatres and other departments.
* Track instruments using a scanning device onto the T‑DOC operating system (site specific).
* Provide patient transport services within the Surgical Directorate, collecting and returning patients from and to other wards and departments.
* After appropriate training assist theatre staff in delivering direct patient care within the operating theatre by undertaking the role of circulating practitioner during surgical procedures or working within the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.
Qualifications
* Disclosure and Barring check required for all customer facing roles.
* Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
* Applicants for roles requiring Tier 2 sponsorship must meet UK Visas and Immigration eligibility criteria.
