As part of their next phase of growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced and purpose-led Operations Manager / Senior Project Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-scaling social enterprise at the forefront of sustainable retrofit, combining operational leadership with strategic programme delivery that makes a genuine difference in communities. This hybrid leadership role blends operational management and retrofit programme delivery. You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of a dynamic and growing business while leading teams to deliver high-quality, PAS-standard retrofit schemes across the UK. You’ll work directly with the Operations Director and senior leadership to shape processes, improve performance, and embed social value across operations. Day to day: Operational Management Lead daily operations across logistics, finance, and delivery teams Develop and implement policies for compliance, reporting, and quality Monitor KPIs and performance metrics; drive continuous improvement Build a high-performing team culture with coaching and mentoring Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Retrofit Leadership Lead delivery of domestic retrofit schemes to PAS 2035/2030 standards Ensure full compliance with UK building regulations, HSE, and sustainability standards Identify new opportunities aligned to funding frameworks (ECO4, SHDF, WHQS) Represent in industry forums and stakeholder groups Ideal skill set Bachelor’s degree in construction or Business-related field MRICS Accredited (or equivalent experience) 8–10 years in operations/project delivery roles, in retrofit or housing Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, people-first approach Sound knowledge of contract/project management, HSE, energy funding schemes SMSTS, CSCS, NEBOSH, MCIOB or equivalent Experience scaling operations in a growing business This is your chance to play a central role in making change in a purpose, professional arena where people come together.
