NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Please note that the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
A part time 18.5 hour vacancy has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologists to join NHS GG&C’s Digital Therapies Team (DTT) (formerly cCBT). The Digital Therapies Team supports patients across NHS GG&C to access and engage with digital therapy interventions which are delivered exclusively online. The service’s digital offerings include support for people with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as anxiety and low mood, support for people experiencing long term health conditions, support for parents during the perinatal period and child and young people experiencing low mood and/or anxiety.
The successful postholders will support patient engagement activities to optimise patients’ uptake and clinical outcomes from accessing a digital intervention. You will also assist in quality improvement projects, promoting the digital interventions and providing information sessions to people interested in finding out more about digital interventions. The successful postholder will also work into other digitally delivered psychological therapy (PT) teams, including the PT Groups Service. They will also support the implementation of novel digital self management tools for patients waiting to commence a traditional psychological therapy.
You’ll hold a minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in Psychology or equivalent, be eligible for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society, and have an interest in applying Psychology to working with people with psychological difficulties. You’ll be able to provide evidence of right to work in the UK without restriction. Knowledge of psychological theory and models of application is essential, along with sound knowledge of research methodology and data collection. The postholders should be able to work within a team but also be able to work independently. The postholders should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
You’ll join the large and dynamic South Glasgow psychology department, and have access to a range of professional development and CPD opportunities.
