We are working with a well-established insurance brokerage seeking an Account Executive to manage and develop a portfolio of commercial clients.This role is heavily relationship-led and advisory focused, ideal for an Account Executive or a Senior Account Handler looking to step into a client-facing role centered on long-term partnerships.The RoleTake ownership of an existing Mid-Market book of business size depending on appetite for growthManage a varied client portfolio across construction, industrial estates, professional services and motor tradeHandle policies with premiums typically ranging from £5,000 to £100,000Act as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clientsLead client meetings, renewal reviews and strategic discussionsPrepare and present insurance programmes, recommendations and renewal proposalsWork closely with a dedicated Account Handler who will manage MTAs, renewal preparation and brokingPredominantly manual market placements, requiring strong insurer relationships and technical understandingMaintain a strong client presence, with regular face-to-face meetings encouragedDevelop the portfolio organically through referrals, recommendations, cross-selling and upsellingSupported by warm lead flow and an internal telesales functionNew business target focused on quality and long-term value rather than volumeExperience Required3-5 years' experience within commercial insurance, ideally Mid-Market focusedStrong relationship management skills with experience handling multiple complex policiesConfident dealing with a broad range of clients and stakeholdersComfortable presenting to clients and leading renewal and review meetingsExperience working with insurers and placing business manuallyOpen to candidates stepping up from a Senior Account Handler role with strong client-facing experienceWhat's on OfferInherited portfolio from day oneClear emphasis on relationship management and advisory workStrong internal Account Handler supportWarm, realistic growth expectations
