Business Development Manager - Waste Services
Location: Edinburgh (Depot/Home/Field-Based)
Salary: circa £30,000 base + commission (OTE £41,000+)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager you’ll be part of a dynamic new business sales team. You’ll be responsible for identifying and securing contracts with local businesses.
Key Responsibilities
* 100% new business development
* Cold calling, door knocking, and lead generation
* Managing your pipeline and CRM with precision
* Reviewing existing contracts and negotiating improved terms
* Selling the value of our client’s service – not just the bin
What We’re Looking For
* Different backgrounds will be considered – what matters is attitude and ability.
* A telesales or recruitment consultant ready to step into a field-based role.
* Someone with experience selling merchant services, PayPal, or card machines.
* Or simply a natural salesperson who builds rapport and gets results.
Essential Qualities
* Confidence and resilience to cold call and knock on doors.
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage a sales pipeline and CRM effectively.
* A self-starter who knows their patch and gets stuck in.

* Salary – circa £30,000
* Car allowance – £400 per month
* Pension – 6% employer contribution / 4% employee
* Death in Service – 2x annual salary
