Job Title: Operations Manager (AOM) - Castle Donington
As our Operations Manager (AOM) at Castle Donington, you will be an inspiring leader who supports, manages, and develops our ambulance personnel to deliver exceptional patient care across all ambulance operational activities. You will oversee your operational area and team to contribute to the overall Urgent & Emergency Care Business Plan and our Strategy, ensuring key outputs are met. Your role includes maintaining smooth operational services through regular collaboration with stakeholders and engaging in clinical activity for personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the delivery of effective, patient-focused clinical services at all times.
2. Provide visible, compassionate leadership, coaching, mentoring, and organization of front-line staff.
3. Act as a credible leader for operational staff, motivating and inspiring your team.
4. Manage all operational issues in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
5. Collaborate with peers to meet operational outputs with available resources.
6. Be trained as an Educator to deliver timely initial and remedial education at stations.
7. Lead high standards at your operational locations.
8. Forecast operational requirements and demand, planning to mitigate challenges.
9. Develop plans to improve operational performance, including patient experience, clinical standards, and safety KPIs.
10. Create and interpret performance reports, analyzing data to identify improvements.
11. Represent St John Ambulance at external stakeholder engagements.
12. Implement a performance management culture, including regular reviews and documented outcomes.
13. Champion compassionate leadership and embody St John values.
14. Engage and empower staff in problem-solving and organizational improvements.
15. Promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.
