Job description
This is a Secondment opportunity commencing 01/09/2025 - 31/08/2026
To work within the context of the Education, Leisure and Lifelong Learning Support plan for schools, the council’s strategic objectives and other key local and national strategic planning documents, to promote school improvement across key stages. To work specifically to support teaching and self-evaluation in schools in a formal Estyn category at secondary level. This will include curriculum design and pedagogy that supports progress in the Curriculum for Wales as well as supporting the wide range of activities which make up the priorities for the school support service (i.e. high-quality, precise self-evaluation, a range of teaching strategies (with the support of the NPT teaching and learning team), professional learning and representing the Local Authority in National events/meetings.
The post will start on September 1st 2025.
