About the team and the role
We're looking for a meticulous and creative Brand Marketing Content Executive to take the lead on Ocado Life, our flagship monthly customer magazine. Reporting directly into the Brand Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end production cycle.
OcadoLife isn't just a magazine; it's a vital commercial tool that inspires loyalty and drives basket spend for over 200,000 readers. You will ensure that every page tells a compelling story, showcases our incredible range (including M&S), and meets the high standards our customers expect.
What you’ll do
1. Supporting the delivery of Ocado Life, in partnership with other internal stakeholders and our external agency; ensuring that print and distribution deadlines are adhered to.
2. Proof reading Ocado Life each month, ensuring it aligns with our trade priorities and content marketing strategy, and adheres to our creative guidelines.
3. Preparing clear internal and external-facing creative briefs that align to the broader marketing strategy.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for the external agency, providing constructive feedback on recipes, layouts and content, ensuring it’s on brand and most importantly, delicious!
5. Collaborate closely with the broader marketing team, in-house creative studio, buying and merchandising teams, and external creative agency, to ensure efficient creation, delivery and distribution of best-in-class content across multiple consumer touchpoints.
6. Harbouring strong relationships with buying and trade teams to understand their priorities and big bets, leveraging opportunities for placement in Ocado Life.
7. Owning the Ocado Life content stream of the wider marketing content calendar and leading where Ocado Life content can be re-purposed.
8. Sharing learnings through delivering monthly food trends and competition review presentations.
9. Taking ownership over the magazine distribution rate, liaising with operations teams to facilitate correct stock levels across our network.
10. Deliver and report on SMART cross-channel KPIs, sharing learnings and recommendations.
11. Assisting with tracking spend and budget sheets.
Who you are
12. Experience in a content marketing or editorial role (magazine experience preferred).
13. Base level knowledge around HFSS regulations would be beneficial.
14. Passionate about content as an effective marketing channel.
15. Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills.
16. Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
17. Confident communicator and keen collaborator.
18. Data driven and smart problem solver.
19. Food/recipe knowledge and/or passion is beneficial.
20. Retail and/or ecommerce background is beneficial.
