Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
* Perform routine, reactive, maintenance on dies and fixtures across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment to ensure equipment is safe and available.
* Utilise precision diagnostic instruments.
* Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards repair, make or modification.
* Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department.
* Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
* Identify and recommend improvements to tooling, dies, machining and inspection fixtures.
* Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimise the maintenance strategy.
* Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and implement requirements.
* Work alongside/support equipment OEM engineers as required.
* Consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure equipment and facilities are safe and reliable.
* Support the effective induction of new team members and cross‑train other team members.
* Utilise problem‑solving skills and make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and experience.
* Able to complete and maintain documentation and records in accordance with company defined products, and support business control and audit requirements.
* Safely operate site specific equipment as required with appropriate training.
Key Experiences and Qualifications
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant time‑serving apprenticeship.
* Ability to use and understand hand gauges, inspection equipment and computerized measuring equipment.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Experience in operating machine tools.
* Experience in programming machine tools.
* Basic IT literacy.
* Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.
* Ability to use CAD/CAM PLM software to design parts and create technical drawings.
