Are you an experienced systems engineer looking to take ownership of hardware verification and validation for advanced defence systems? Join a top-tier team driving laser directed energy weapon (LDEW) development.
This role is all about physical systems V&V, compliance, and certification, from environmental performance, EMC, and power utilisation to transportability and regulatory approvals. You’ll manage Design Verification Plans (DVPs), oversee supplier V&V activities, and ensure designs meet system requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead physical domain verification & validation and certification strategies
* Manage design change impact assessments, defects, and technical risks
* Maintain traceability of system requirements in configuration management tools
* Oversee supplier progress and conduct milestone reviews
* Support CE marking and other regulatory documentation
* Present compliance evidence to stakeholders
You’ll need:
* Strong systems engineering knowledge and hardware experience
* Experience with verification and validation (V&V) of physical systems
* Understanding of requirements engineering, test procedures, and certification evidence gathering
* Confidence in presenting technical engineering information
* Experience with configuration management tools
