Your new company
You'll be joining a well-renowned business within Scotland's thriving Public Sector.
Joining an established 'Lab' you'll be ensuring a consistent Agile-based delivery approach. As a PSO, you'll be integral to the smooth running of the Lab and be in close collaboration with other PSOs in the wider business.
The company also operates with a flexible working arrangement - contractors are expected to come into the office 1–2 days per week initially but with the option to be more remote after a period of time.
The organisation is highly motivated and puts a real emphasis on being a team-player whilst also using your own initiative.
Your new role
Your work will be innovative and stimulating. As a Project Support Officer (PSO) you'll be working closely with the PMs / POs and the wider team.
Your work will involve progress tracking, quality control, and acting as the 'go-to' person within your specialist 'lab' - acting as a source for guidance and standards.
On the financial side, you'll be maintaining the finance workbook and managing resource demand, including utilisation of the Lab.
You'll be maintaining the Lab's RAID log and escalating actions where required. There will also be a high degree of responsibility as you'll be facilitating stand-ups where required. Further, you'll be arranging and facilitating the full range of project events which includes external audits and stakeholder events.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience managing project level Financial Reporting
- Be familiar with RAID logs
- Great communication skills
- Good experience embedding governance within a team
- Worked within an Agile setup previously
