Role: Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary Schools)
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers and pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students stay engaged, confident, and focused throughout the school day.
Responsibilities include:
• Supporting pupils in lessons across the secondary curriculum
• Providing behaviour support and classroom support
• Working with small groups of pupils to improve engagement and confidence
• Acting as a positive role model within school
• Supporting pupils who benefit from additional structure and encouragement
• Assisting teaching staff with learning activities and classroom organisation

Requirements
To work as a Teaching Assistant in Blaenau Gwent secondary schools, applicants must:
• Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS certificate
• Be registered with Teaching Personnel
• Have a genuine interest in supporting young people in education
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (essential due to travel between secondary schools across Blaenau Gwent)
