Our client is currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanic – Well Services. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a permanent (staff) basis. ROLE The role is to organize, coordinate and supervise workshop daily activities to ensure the workshop team is progressing with equipment readiness. Ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. The role will also require the individual to carry out equipment maintenance to Wireline, Surface Solutions, and PCE Equipment RESPONSIBILITIES Promote Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Assurance at work. Supervise process of product assembly, maintenance, repair, and calibration to meet business activity and Service Quality KPI. Ensuring equipment is in good working condition to minimize downtime. Support and lead workshop personnel daily, workforce planning, workmanship standards. Support and lead equipment inspection and certification. Ensure meeting local industry standards whilst driving cost control. Manage 3rd Party vendors and personnel for the provisions of parts / services, supported by the Workshop Supervisor. Ensure proper job and maintenance documentation is updated and compliant with Company Processes and Checklists. This will then be validated by the workshop Supervisor before equipment mobilisation. Actively contribute to good cooperation and communication at all levels in the organization. Strive for continuous improvement and cost effectiveness. Conducts mechanical inspections. Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy. Configure test stations and systems. Analytical ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems. Assist with Scheduled maintenance of equipment. Provide cover of workshop supervisor during times of absence and also be part of the on call rota. Provide support and be focal point for ongoing field operations with spares packages and any troubleshooting. Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Workshop Supervisor within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements. REQUIREMENTS Education Fluent in written and verbal English. Technical qualifications in mechanical maintenance Experience: Previous experience of supervising employees in an oilfield workshop, maintaining Wireline, Surface Solutions and PCE Equipment In Equivalent Role: 5 yrs Equipment Maintenance Field Experience: 5 yrs Oil & Gas Sector Experience: 10 yrs minimum Personal skills: Self-motivated Punctual Good communication skills Ability to work under pressure Ability to work as part of a team
