You will be the Trust's advocate and expert on equality, diversity and inclusion—shaping strategies that drive cultural transformation and ensure our workforce reflects the communities we serve.
Main duties of the job
In this pivotal role, you’ll influence policy at the highest level, oversee statutory reporting requirements such as WRES, WDES, and EDS2, and translate complex data into actionable insights that deliver meaningful change. You’ll also build capability across all leadership tiers, ensuring EDI principles are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for someone with proven experience in organisational development and EDI within a complex setting—ideally the NHS—combined with exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. You’ll bring a strong understanding of equality legislation, a track record of driving cultural change, and the ability to inspire others through collaboration and innovation.

Job responsibilities
Hybrid working is supported, but you’ll need to be present across our sites and within the Integrated Care System to deliver this role effectively.
Person Specification
* Masters level qualification in a related subject or equivalent relevant experience
* Chartered member of CIPD (MCIPD) – desirable
* Continuous Improvement qualification or experience – desirable
* Coach/mentoring experience – desirable
* Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion agenda
* Experience working with strategic policy in the NHS or a large complex organisation
* Experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating OD/EDI interventions
* Ability to present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups
* Ability to analyse complex facts and situations and develop a range of options
