Quality Improvement Officer - Birmingham City Council
Grade C – £35,412 – £44,075.
Permanent, 36.5 hours per week.
Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
The role requires the successful applicant to undertake audits of social work practice, create learning resources, and establish and carry out quality assurance activity for the department. Audits are a key driver in supporting service reform and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
* Working closely with the Principal Social Worker, and the deputy Principal Social Worker.
* Carrying out audits of practice.
* Creating resources to support the working of the Quality Assurance Framework.
* Creating learning resources and organising learning events.
Qualifications and Experience
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE).
* Excellent understanding of quality social work practice and assurance.
* Ability to work in a timely manner and deliver reports on time.
* Excellent knowledge of the prevention agenda and importance of data and quality for social work, and knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Principal Social Worker.
* Considerable experience of working in the social care sector.
* Ability to work collaboratively with others.
* Commitment to citizens and their carers.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to dignity and respect within work.
* Ability to work alongside partnership agencies.
* Knowledge of 3 Conversations and its working principles.
* Ability to recognise excellent standards in case files.
* Ability to prioritise workloads whilst working with competing demands.
