Energy Power Programmes are delivering client‑critical works to some of our major UK and European projects. Our embedded teams support Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and Poland’s first Energy Power station. Working client‑facing and internal roles, we deliver major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle, driving safe, high‑quality, on‑time solutions through innovative, collaborative work. Amentum is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to work on the HPC project as an Instrument and Control Commissioning Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Creating and developing commissioning documents
* Testing before commissioning – inspection & testing, factory acceptance tests and equipment qualification
* Preparing commissioning test packages, commissioning instructions, level‑3 logic diagrams
* Executing commission work on‑site and overseeing the full commissioning of HPC
* Completing relevant training and enrolling in courses to enhance engineering knowledge
* Meeting commissioning milestones and deadlines
* Applying working knowledge of commissioning systems, methodologies and tools
* Applying best‑practice commissioning methodologies (nuclear preferred) with strong interpersonal, organisational, communication and team‑building skills
* Managing large multi‑discipline commissioning teams and driving commissioning execution activities
* Applying risk assessments, hazard and operability studies and hazard identification studies
* Operating in a regulatory environment; minimum relevant trade discipline experience or NVQ/SVQ/HNC/HND supported by APEL
* Preferable BSC (degree) in an applicable engineering subject
* Demonstrating a record of achievement at the highest level within commissioning programmes or projects, providing expert guidance to colleagues
* Applying technical analysis tools and methods to solve high‑complexity risk problems
* Developing and innovating technical analysis methods
* Maintaining knowledge of best‑practice techniques within the industry

Compensation & Benefits
£44,847 per year (estimated). Part‑time position.
