Role: Service Engineer
Location: Thirsk
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to join their busy team. The Service Engineering will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site utilities and services.
* Perform inspections, condition monitoring, and preventative maintenance activities.
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime.
* Implement improvements to plant and equipment to enhance reliability and performance.
* Record all maintenance activities accurately within the maintenance management system.
* Develop and update planned maintenance schedules and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and inspection requirements.
* Maintain inspection, servicing, and certification records for site services systems.
* Manage critical spare parts and coordinate stock levels with engineering stores.
* Provide mechanical support to wider engineering teams as required.
* Support new installations, upgrades, and small engineering projects.
Skills and Experience:
* Qualified in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Experience with industrial plant and site services equipment such as boilers, compressors, heating systems, and water treatment.
* Strong mechanical skills with basic electrical knowledge.
* Able to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and maintain equipment safely.
