Hours: 40.5 hours per week plus sleep ins
Salary: £29,000 - £32,525
Earnings with sleep ins: £34,175 – £37,700 (based on 10 sleep ins per month)
Shift pattern: 2 shift on, 4 shifts off
We are seeking to recruit permanent senior residential support workers who have an interest in a therapeutic and holistic approach to working with children in care. Previous experience of working in any children’s home is advantageous but not essential as full training and induction is provided.
No two days will be the same supporting young people to achieve their very best. You will have a varied array of tasks whilst on shift; everything from cooking & cleaning, taking part in activities and games, taking Young People out to appointments/meetings, or even sitting and watching TV with the Young People.
Criteria for the role:
1. Desirable: QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce (not essential, Hexagon will pay for the new level 4 Diploma if required)
2. Essential: Full UK driving licence
3. Essential: Minimum of 12 months experience working specifically in a residential home for children, we cannot consider candidates with a background of adult care, domiciliary care, school/EYFS experience
