Adecco are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Homeless Intervention and Prevention Team Leader to join a South-London Local Authority.\n\nIn this role, you will lead and improve the homelessness prevention service, ensuring financial efficiency and fostering strong partnerships. \n\nHomeless Intervention and Prevention Team Leader\nPublic Sector - Local Authority \nFull Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week\nHybrid Working - 3 days in office however flexibility expected depending on service need\nG12 - £25.86 per hour PAYE / £33.66 per hour Umbrella\nASAP start \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLeadership: Guide and support a team of officers to meet performance targets and service objectives.\nOperational Management: Implement service plans, manage temporary accommodation expenditure, and develop effective partnerships.\nCase Management: Supervise casework, handle complex cases, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.\nFinancial Oversight: Oversee Homeless Prevention payments and emergency accommodation requests.\nCollaboration: Work with internal and external partners to enhance service delivery.\nSafeguarding: Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and participate in multi-agency meetings.Key Contacts:\n\nExternal: Local authorities, advice agencies, solicitors, police, probation services, registered social landlords, MPs, and various support services.\nInternal: Adult Social Care & Health, Children, Families & Education, Housing, Housing Benefit service, Sustainable Communities, Regeneration and Economic Recovery.Essential Knowledge:\n\nLegislation related to homelessness and housing.\nWelfare benefits system.\nRisk assessment and safeguarding.Essential Skills:\n\nLeadership and team development.\nProblem-solving and creativity in preventing homelessness.\nStrong communication and relationship-building.\nAbility to work under pressure and demonstrate resilience.Essential Experience:\n\nDegree level education or significant relevant experience.\nExperience in performance management and service improvement.\nInnovative approaches to preventing homelessness.Special Conditions:\n\nWillingness to respond to emergencies and attend out-of-hours meetings. \n\nAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
