Parks Infrastructure Maintenance Operative Location : Kingston Upon Thames Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, £16.25 per hour Job Duties: Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of reactive and planned maintenance jobs, liaising with different suppliers, obtaining quotations, organising materials, repairing, and maintaining parks infrastructure (e.g., play equipment, paths, benches, fences, park buildings, etc.). Taking responsibility for the works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors to the site and deliveries. Proactively leading by example, motivating and guiding the team and maintaining workforce discipline. Operating and ensuring others operate company and hire vehicles, machinery and equipment with care and that daily checks and routine servicing are carried and properly recorded. This is a hands-on position, and the successful candidate will be required to set time frames and quality expectations and lead by example. Requirements: Practical qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in carpentry, plumbing, etc, and hold at least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
