The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality care within our elderly and dementia care service. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is passionate about person-centred care and committed to improving the quality of life for older people living with dementia.
As Care Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified, and person-centred care while leading and supporting a team of care staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care service
Ensure high standards of care for elderly residents, including those living with dementia
Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to residents' individual needs
Supervise, support, and develop care staff through training, mentoring, and performance management
Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and care regulations
Maintain accurate care records and documentation
Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and staff Requirements
Previous experience in a leadership or management role within elderly or dementia care
Strong understanding of person-centred care and dementia best practice
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to manage teams, resolve issues, and maintain high care standards
Knowledge of care regulations and safeguarding practices Desirable
Experience managing within a residential or nursing care setting
Experience preparing for inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance
