Location: Optimo Healthcare, Maple House, Maple Estate, Stocks Lane, Barnsley, S75 2BL Contract: Full-time - 40 hours, Monday to Friday Salary: £26,000 FTE Keep us balanced, one payslip at a time. We’re now looking for a Finance Officer to support our payroll and finance operations, helping to ensure every figure adds up and every payment lands right on time. What you’ll do You’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our finance function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across payroll, purchase ledger, and sales ledger activity. Day-to-day, you’ll: Process payroll, including timesheets, new starters, leavers, pensions, and statutory payments via Sage 50 Payroll. Manage sales ledger and credit control, ensuring invoices are accurate and payments are received promptly. Oversee purchase ledger and banking activity, processing invoices and maintaining up-to-date supplier information. Support financial reporting, month-end reconciliations, and audits. Keep meticulous financial records and help drive continuous improvement across the team. What you’ll bring Previous experience in a finance or payroll role (Sage 50 experience a plus!). A confident user of Excel and other finance systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in everything you do. Clear and professional communication skills. A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach to work. Great organisational skills — able to manage your time and meet deadlines without breaking a sweat.
