We are partnering with a successful and established services business based in Worksop that is looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Financial Controller. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, designed for an experienced finance professional to oversee the core financial operations while driving performance and compliance across the business.
About the Role:
As Financial Controller, you will have full ownership of the financial function and be responsible for leading all traditional Financial Controller duties. This includes accurate reporting, managing controls, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting the senior management team in strategic decision-making. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and organised finance professional who is ready to step into a business-critical leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Overseeing balance sheet management, P&L, and cash flow reporting.
* Producing timely and insightful management reports and financial statements.
* Leading the budgeting and forecasting processes across the organisation.
* Maintaining robust financial controls and identifying process improvements.
* Supporting strategic goals by providing financial insights to senior leaders.
* Supervising and mentoring the finance team, ensuring continued professional development.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
* Proven track record in a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally within a services-based business.
* Strong ability to manage core financial processes and controls efficiently.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Strategic mindset, with strong commercial acumen.
* Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
