Interior Designer with circa 3–5 years’ experience required to join a friendly SME Architectural Practice located in their new studio space, a converted mill in Huddersfield complete with excellent local amenities and free parking.
Our client, best known for their work within the Residential, Industrial & Commercial sectors, are currently delivering a variety of schemes across the UK and require additional creative support, including:
Contemporary new build residential schemes
One-off bespoke homes
SEN Education projects
Residential Care Homes
Modular Construction projects
Ambitious Interior Designers with circa 3–5 years of UK-based design experience would be ideal, although candidates with more or less experience will be considered. The successful candidate will be keen to take a hands-on role, working closely with clients in a job-running and client-facing capacity. This role would suit someone interested in contributing to a growing business and playing a key part in its future development.
Key Aspects of this Interior Designer position include:
Degree qualified in Interior Design or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience within a UK-based design or architectural practice
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and/or SketchUp would be advantageous (training can be provided)
Experience working within residential and/or commercial sectors
Ability to develop and present design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes
Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and an understanding of technical detailing in relation to interiors
Experience producing drawing packages across RIBA Stages 3–6
Confident working both independently and as part of a small collaborative team (3–4 colleagues)
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools
Excellent communication skills with a client-facing approach
Strong attention to detail with a passion for high-quality design and finishes
Enthusiastic about contributing to the growth and development of a small business

Salary: circa £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience) + generous benefits.
