Secondary Teaching Assistant in Durham Schools
Teaching Personnel is looking for secondary TAs to work across Durham schools. Full time, part time, or flexible supply work. Starting immediately. £90 to £110 per day depending on your experience and qualifications.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting students aged 11 to 16 in lessons. Working with individuals or small groups who need extra help. Managing behaviour when needed. Assisting teachers with resources and classroom organization. Some days you'll be in one school, other days you might move around depending on whether you want consistent placements or flexible supply.
Who we’re looking for:
Experienced TAs looking for new placements. Graduates considering teaching who want classroom experience first. Anyone with experience working with teenagers in education or care settings. You need to be reliable, good with communication, and comfortable handling secondary school dynamics (which are different from primary).
You'll need:
Experience with ages 11 to 16
Strong communication skills
Reliability and enthusiasm
Commitment to safeguarding
Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willing to get one)
What Teaching Personnel Offer:
£95 to £120 daily rate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
